I recently bought the 5/8 racking cane along with the soldered male camlock to function as a carboy filler. Soldering was done really well and appears to be high quality.
It used to be a two person job to fill the carboy, one holding the hose, one tilting the boil kettle to get every last drop; now it's a one person job. It also cut down quite a bit on foaming, so I'm thinking this would work great for barrel filling.
