This charge is specifically to rewire the Blichmann BrewCommander controller to have a NEMA 14-30P feed cable. This is the plug found on modern electric dryers. As you may have read elsewhere, the Brewcommander 240 volt unit is fed by two separate plugs:
It has one NEMA L6-30P, 240v/30amp locking plug to power the controller and the element output. It has one NEMA 5-15P, 120v/15amp straight blade plug to power the pump switch and output.
If you do not want to have two receptacles wired to accommodate this, we can remove the two short wires and plugs and replace with a single 4 to 5 foot long cable with a NEMA 14-30P on the end. Of course, it is up to you to ensure that you have a 14-30R receptacle to plug into.
Note: During this conversion, we can also switch the unit to wall mount so the wires exit from the bottom of the unit instead of the back. See this labor item for that option.
