Description

If you use a plate chiller, you already know how important it is to keep hops out of it. You can use multiple nylon bags to contain the hops or just one of these stainless baskets. It hangs neatly on the edge of the kettle. This upgraded model has a separate long hook that attaches to the basket in increments of about an inch allowing for use on all different depths of kettles and even Sanke kegs.

This unit has a 400 micron mesh which offers the highest level of filtering without completely stifling the flow between the inside and outside of the basket.

Alternatively we also stock a 800 micron version (larger holes) of this unit that will catch less hop material at the benefit of greater wort circulation increasing hop utilization a bit.

In all cases, occasional stirring of the wort inside the basket will maximize utilization.

This Hop Basket is great. I've been looking for an adjustable one because I had to hang my current on off SS hooks. Now I can adjust to 5 gallons and plenty of space to spare. If your thinking of getting one, get this one you will love it.

Worked great, seems high quality, easy to clean out. Wondering if the finer screen is going to prove to not allow enough circulation through hops, certainly kept a whole bunch of stuff from getting left in the kettle
