This was a pretty simple idea. When you cut open the top of a keg to make it into a brewing vessel, the cut edge is pretty sharp even after filing and sanding it down. This "C" profile black polyethylene extruded plastic will clip on to that sharp edge and provide some protection. You'll need about 40 inches for most cuts so get yourself 4 feet of this per keg. Another great use is on the top edge of sheet metal mill hoppers such as the Monster Mill. You can glue it on with some silicone caulk.
Note:The manufacturer suggests that this material is not FDA approved for direct food contact but as long as it stays in place on the top of the keg, you're fine. You may either glue it in place with a small bead of silicone or you can leave it loose for cleaning.
