I'm not sure why conical fermenters are not sold with cold crash guardians automatically. It is always a balance between draining yeast cake and how close the sanitizer from blow off reservoir gets to sucking back to the fermenter top.
This cold crash guardian works amazing and though I don't actually cold crash my brew, this is a wonderful solution to a closed system.

Works perfectly.

Also it's worth mentioning the great service with this order. The check valve in my cold crash guardian failed (after heavy use) and I couldn't find one. I called and within 5 minutes there was a new page on the site where I could order new valves. Thanks!!
