This particular version of this 120v controller is modified in house to control two separate 120 volt, 15 amp circuits at the same time. This is useful in cases where the user wants fast heating for 5-6 gallon batches but absolutely cannot get access to a 240v circuit. The unit has two short wires with NEMA 5-15P plugs for the inputs. The output cords that go to the two 1650 watt elements are 3 and 5 feet long so the controller can be placed either on the left or right of the kettle. The ends of the cables have NEMA L6-30R connectors, which are directly compatible with our 1650w TC elements.
To be very clear, you will provide power to the unit by running extension cords from two different outlets that are on separate circuit breakers in your main panel. If both are sourced from the same circuit, you will trip your breaker immediately. Both element outputs are switched at the same time based on the actions of the controller. In other words, this is not made for running elements in different vessels.
