5 of 5 Exactly what I was looking for July 5, 2022

I needed this to go between a commercial boiler and the rest of my TC2" hardware.  It worked perfectly.  All of the hardware I have gotten from them works perfectly...

2 of 5 Do not buy this pure Junk. October 16, 2021
Reviewer: CH from Colorado
The description says this takes a 1 5/8in or 47mm, hole. So  I used a USA made Greenlee pull punch and this would not fit in the hole. I could not thread it in to that size hole.  So I used a 48mm pull punch to enlarge the hole now the worthless little soft silicone gasket will not seal, it leaks like crazy. Being an experienced machinist. Have learned with Chinese junk parts, I am ordering some PTFE round stock and will machine a large firm gasket fo both the inside and out to seal this. I should have just ordered a weld in 2” ferrule and TIG welded it

BrewHardware.com response: We all but beg customers to contact us with any product concerns before posting a negative review to give us the courtesy of making it right but you didn't do that. What's worse is that you read the instructions incorrectly and blame the product for the mistake. The instructions clearly state 1-7/8 or 47mm. You first tried a 1-5/8 (wrong) and then widened the hole to 48mm (wrong). As an experienced machinist, I would expect A) that you understand the difference between 1-5/8 and 1-7/8. B) that you know the difference between 47mm and 48mm. and C) that this piece was impeccably CNC machined.

If you had called, we also would have attempted to troubleshoot the install for you anyway. For example, you didn't purchase the 58mm socket so I don't know if the methods you were trying to use would have yielded enough tightening to compress the gasket to the radius of the kettle. We also don't know what radius that kettle is.

Yes, we agree that TIG welding a ferrule is a better choice than a weldless fitting if you have that option available to you.

5 of 5 Absolutely Perfect! March 5, 2020
Reviewer: Doug from Springville , NY United States
I have a 15.5 Gallon size keggle from American Keg Co.  and I needed to add a 5500 watt heating element for boiling but didn’t want the expensive cost of hiring a sanitary welder. I drilled a perfect 1 7/8” hole, de-burred the opening, stuck in the fitting, tightened it down, and done!  Instant 2” Tri-Clamp heater element fitting.

5 of 5 Great product - the reason I bought from Bobby September 5, 2019
Reviewer: Roger Hanson from Plymouth, MN United States
I don't think you can get this anywhere else.
I tried JB Welding a ferrule in my kettle but it broke after a couple brews.  This is what I should have used in the first place.
My hole was already drilled at 2" prior, and this bulkhead is a little too small for that hole.  I suggest using a bit smaller hole....just so the threads can sneak in.
I can't say enough how great this product is.
