Watch your sizing! January 4, 2024 Reviewer: Anonymous Person   Maybe I had an odd use intended of going over a copper immersion chiller with silicone hose, but these don't crank down to that size. The key is that 1/2" hose barb in the description for the medium size. My hose is 1/2" OD but since the chiller is thinner, it's not even close to tight, even though I cranked down all the way for a long time. I guess a small size (not offered) might work. Smoother inside = less chewed up hose September 20, 2020 Reviewer: Rich W. from San Diego, CA United States   I mostly use oetiker clamps because they don't chew up the silicone hose when tightened down. But the downside, you can't remove and reuse them. That's why I got these. I have the 1/2" Blichmann Thrumometer and need to disconnect it after a brew cycle. No more cut hoses! June 22, 2019 Reviewer: david johnson from Elk Grove, CA United States   I ordered these to replace my other worm clamps. I always had to cut about inch off my silicone hoses on every brew day due to them cutting into the hose. Not anymore the notches on these clamps are on the outside instead of against the hose, not cheap but quality product in brewing is? Was this review helpful to you?
