Increased Efficiency July 10, 2017 Reviewer: Gary L from Madison, WI United States   Efficiency increased by 5% with this false bottom over the 11” keggle false bottom that I had been using prior.  Was concerned that I’d have trouble getting this under my 6” long probe thermometer but no problems with getting it into place, it will slide right under as you unhinge it.  Fits nice and snug to the sides of the keg.  Have done two 10 gallon batches and forgot to put in the support ring for the second batch but it didn’t present any problems with sagging.  Only minor problem be cleaning out some of the stubborn grains that like to stick to the mesh where the hinge is welded, but that’s just being nit-picky.  You’re going to have a hard time finding a better false bottom for keggle conversions than this one. Hinged false bottom October 23, 2016 Reviewer: Brent Hurter from San Antonio, TX United States   Wow, this false bottom is a tank. Hinges are nicely welded and edges are smooth. Fit me keggle perfect. Why didnt I order this sooner! Had a great brew day including direct fire with recirculation and fly sparging. I didn't even think about a stuck sparge, also NO scorching!!! If you are thinking about it, get one now! I paired up with the ss dip tube. I highly recommend this item. Was this review helpful to you?

A thing of beauty. August 5, 2016 Reviewer: Philip Anderson from Proctor, VT United States   Yet to have a problem with the mash.  I just got one of these false bottom gaskets - https://www.morebeer.com/products/brewbuilt-false-bottom-gaskets.html Upgrade, it fits tight and works pretty sick.  It takes a bit more to install but NOTHING gets thru, just hook up the pump.  It's the 15gal size.  Just thought I would mention it. Great Product May 10, 2016 Reviewer: Justin from Charlottesville, IN United States   This False bottom fit my half keg perfectly. I was concerned about the edges around the perimeter and where the holes were punched. The edges are smooth. This past weekend (5-7-16) was the first time using it on a newly built herms system. Mash efficiency went from 73-75% on my older cooler style MLT to 88%! I did get a stuck mash but that may have been due to the pump drawing too much, which I put that on operator error. I would/will definitely recommend this false bottom to anyone looking for one. Was this review helpful to you?

Very Strong March 4, 2016 Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Spring, TX United States   This held the weight of the grains well.  I recommend if you're using the diptube, go with the larger one.  The 1/2" will probably be too small for the hole in the FB.  My only recommendation would be to add a heat-tolerant o-ring where the diptube goes into the center hole. It's a beautiful thing January 21, 2016 Reviewer: Hugh Brown from Oro-Medonte, ON Canada   It's a beautiful thing. Took me 10 years to finally do it, but finally completed my Sankey keg conversion project with Bobby's - Keg to Mash Tun Conversion Kit - 1 port WELDLESS with false bottom. Took about an hour to drill and install it and the weldless brewing thermometer. The bulkhead design is the best out there. Now time to start planning for Saturday's brew.
