This is the second generation of the game changing Inkbird IPB-16 which was already the most cost effective plug and play PID-based controller available anywhere. This new IPB-16S adds both built in pump switch as well as a heater enable/disable switch. The cabinet is slick, the digital numbers are big and bright, and it can handle a full 15 amps at 120 volts (1650 watts) for around a hundy. What?
Unlike all the other inexpensive controllers that have mechanical relays, this is a true PID controller capable of short cycle oscillation for precise temp control. It is the best controller for use with a 120 volt RIMS tube.
The probe diameter included with the controller is approximately .2" or 5mm (and 2" long). The probe is a stainless steel capsule so it can be installed through the sidewall of a kettle by using our weldless PCOMP4 fitting or a suitable thermowell.
The main power receptacle is fed off the solid state relay for up to 1650 watts. The pump outlet should only be used for a pump or other low current device.
