No more rusty element bases after two batches! No, we're not the first company to offer these to the homebrewing market, but we are offering the best price by far. This element will make 5500 watts at 240 volts or approximately 1400 watts on 120 volts. The length of the element from the hex flange to the tip is 12.5 inches. At 5500 watts, the watt density is approximately 120 watts per square inch making it a LWD element. At 120 volts/1400 watts, it's a mere 30 watts per square inch which would be perfect for a RIMS tube application.
The base on this unit stainless steel and will not rust. The threads are standard 1" NPSL like 99% of the elements you'll find out there. Weldless installs such as with our EWL enclosure kits will require a 1.25" hole in your vessel.
These elements are NOT OFFSET bent (even though the picture shows an offset) meaning that the package of four tubes is NOT centered on the base making fitment into a RIMS tube less difficult. IF YOU ARE BUYING THESE TO FIT OUR RIMS TUBES, YOU MUST SELECT "OFFSET BEND FOR RIMS" IN THE DROPDOWN MENU.
Note: the manufacturing process causes some heat discoloration on the stainless and they are not polished or visually stunning in any way. While we typically like our equipment to look shiny as possible, this item is more about durability and function.
MADE IN THE USA.
